Photography

I consider photography an extension of both my 3D art and design pursuits. My knowledge of the latter informs my decisions in the former, and my photos conversely inspire and influence the choices I make in 3D art and design. Composition, colour, contrast, and emphasis, are just some of the creative concepts that I apply to all three disciplines. From a more technical standpoint, things like focal length, aperture, exposure, and light properties, are areas that often overlap between photography and my 3D work.

Perhaps due to my love of film, I tend to do most of my photography while traveling: I like to use my camera as a DP or a location scout would for a movie, capturing the beauty of new places I see and highlighting what makes those places memorable. My focus is on culture, architecture, nature, and people.
