Unreal Engine
Full pipeline experiments developed in Unreal Engine.
Personal Work
Personal Unreal Engine projects exploring real-time lighting, FX, and in-engine workflows. These pieces focus on developing mood, composition, and cinematography, while also providing a space to explore areas beyond my core specialization.

Project Details
These projects are developed in addition to my professional experience working
in Unreal Engine on Fireman Sam, and serve as a space in which I can deepen my
knowledge of Unreal’s tools and workflows. Across these pieces, I regularly
work with Blueprints, the Niagara FX system, Cine Camera Actor, and Sequencer,
using each project as an opportunity to test ideas, refine techniques, and push my artistic abilities.
While lighting remains the primary focus, these projects allow me to obtain a deeper understanding
of the full creative pipeline, by allowing me to handle layout, some light animation, FX, compositing,
and color grading myself. This broader ownership helps me better comprehend how individual disciplines
interact, and how composition, camera language, and mood come together to support a final image.
Car Showcase
Drawing inspiration from modern car advertisements and racing game cutscenes, this sequence focuses on photorealism and animated lighting. The environment was built using free assets and staged to emphasize motion, reflections, and dynamic light transitions. Final compositing was completed in Nuke, with additional color grading done in Adobe Premiere to enhance contrast and polish the overall look.
The Art of Cooking
This shot was inspired by the tactile, close-up culinary cinematography of The Bear, combined with the warm color palette and expressive lighting of Ratatouille. The focus was on shaping light around hands, food, and steam, using contrast and color to convey warmth, rhythm, and a sense of craft within a confined space.
Classic Table Shot
A dialogue-driven scene between two characters, inspired by the lighting and staging found in films by Paul Thomas Anderson, particularly Licorice Pizza and Phantom Thread. Additional references were drawn from diner scenes in Pulp Fiction and The Sopranos. The lighting emphasizes intimacy and naturalism, using practical sources and motivated shadows to support performance and framing.
Sunny Farm
This scene was inspired by rural photography captured at dusk and dawn, as well as the color palettes and visual language of True Detective (Season 1) and O Brother, Where Art Thou?. Using Unreal Engine, I assembled the environment from free Fab and Kitbash Cargo assets, and populated my scene with Megascans animated foliage. To add subtle motion and life, I introduced a particle system of drifting dandelions and an animated crow. After lighting and rendering, I composited the shot in Nuke, applying lens diffusion, chromatic aberration, grain, and color grading to better match my references.
Humble Origins
A nostalgic, warm scene intended to capture the humility and freedom of street soccer in modest neighborhoods around the world. Visual inspiration came from scenes in Nike commercials and Adidas commercials, Trainspotting, and Goal: The Dream Begins. The lighting favours natural sunlight and softer contrast, reinforcing a sense of memory, playfulness, and community.
Noir Investigator
A moody, ominous scene influenced by mystery, thriller, and sci-fi films such as Blade Runner, L.A. Confidential, Prisoners, and The Place Beyond the Pines. Lighting was used to create strong silhouettes, layered depth, and controlled highlights, emphasizing tension and ambiguity through atmosphere and composition.
